Passionate about creative industries, my name's Josh and I'm the face behind 9 North / 9nth. I've been in the creative space for almost a decade, starting out behind cameras and eventually navigating to web design, development, and graphic design.

Being able to express emotion through various creative tools initially drew me towards this field. The thrill of constantly learning and growing new skills is what keeps me motivated. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of industry professionals. My experience has evolved by exposing myself to diverse mediums and opportunities. One notable highlight was being part of a community-funded print magazine for amateur photographers. At the time, we were the largest independent photography magazine in Australia, partnered with Canon Australia.

Behind the desk, I specialise in being a bridge between the worlds of design and development. My approach to new projects combines intuition with a deep understanding of business needs. I trust my gut feelings in creative direction, but I also ensure that every decision is justified and aligned with my client's goals. My Christian faith provides a strong foundation for my life and work, inspiring me to continuously strive for improvement. A quote from my dad that resonates with me is, "You're only as good as your last job."

Out in the field, I love getting hands-on with the camera. Photography and videography allow me to capture and convey emotions in a powerful way. Overcoming numerous challenges in my life has fueled my passion and drive to keep pursuing the things I love.

Looking ahead, I aim to expand more into video and explore the art of storytelling through film. I see a growing hunger for meaningful content, I believe there’s a renewed desire for depth and substance in the stories we tell.
